Customers add 7-days complimentary insurance at checkout, after which time they can upgrade to a paid policy.

Our retail partners have the option to earn referral fees for each paid policy directed to Butter through their checkout. If a customer files a claim that means their item needs replacing, we can also purchase those items through you.

How is Butter different from an extended warranty?

Extended warranties generally only provide protection for manufacturing faults, which is available under Australian Consumer Law. Butter provides protection against accidental damage and theft of items.

Which retail categories does Butter cover?

Butter currently offers protection on portable electronic goods, such as phones, cameras, laptops and more. We plan to broaden our protection to include categories such as jewellery, bikes, art and collectibles in the future. If the items you sell are not included in the above categories, we’d love to chat to you anyway to understand how we can help!

How do I integrate with Butter?
